Screaming Eagles of WWII Foundation

Our mission is: Honoring those who fought, were killed or missing in action or wounded in World War II, by gathering information and making this publicly available.

Our core business lies in the series of books called “Screaming Eagles of WWII” and the separate book “Honored Dead” which are a main work of reference for anyone researching soldiers of the American 101st Airborne Division in World War II.

This mission is present in all our activities:

  • research
  • accessibility of information
  • supporting groups and individuals whose activities, on a non-profit base, are affiliated with World War II

Our slogans “keeping the memory alive” and “remembering the sacrifice” are always present in the background.

Other activities:

  • Organisation of a tour around the battle fields of Normandy, Bastogne and The Netherlands code named Operation Torch.
  • Leading ceremonies at dedications of monuments.
  • Fund raising projects for affiliated organisations such as Walter Reed hospital in the US.
  • Annual floral tribute on US cemetery Margraten in The Netherlands.
  • Sales of “Airborne” items in support of our activities.
  • Seeking cooperation with affiliated organisations to establish a bridge from past (WWII) to present.
  • Organising the Airborne Memorial Walk
  • Supporting educational programmes on WWII and/or Airborne

The Screaming Eagles of WWII Foundation was founded in 2000 and is registered as a non-profit organisation with the Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands under number 17135177.
