Will there be another Airborne Memorial Walk in 2010?
The first Airborne Memorial Walk in 2009 was definitely a success. Enthusiastic feedback from the public, volunteers, WWII veterans and the Airborne community are arguments to consider a new walk in September 2010. As soon as location and theme are decided on, we will publish news on this website.

Do I get a refund if I was unable to walk on the 20th September?
No, cancellation or “no show” - regardless of the reason – meant that all proceeds went to the Screaming Eagles of WWII Foundation.

Is the Dick Winters mentioned as a volunteer with the Screaming Eagles of WWII Foundation, Major Dick Winters of 506 Easy Company?
No, but it is his cousin: paratrooper and Vietnam veteran. So the passion does run in the family.

Is the Airborne Memorial Walk subsidised?
The initiative for this historic walk in honor of our liberators was taken by a group of enthusiastic young people. There is no application for a grant, nor has a grant been promised. All volunteers involved invest their own time, money and energy.
